Jeanette F. Frankenberg, Esq.
Managing Member
Jeanette F. Frankenberg, Esq., the firm’s managing member, was recognized by DS News as one of the country’s Top 25 Women of Law from 2018 - 2020. She cut her cloth in the default industry over 30 years ago as outside counsel to the FDIC. There, Ms. Frankenberg was instrumental in the disposition of significant bank owned assets throughout the state of New Jersey during the savings and loan crisis. The reputation she earned as counsel to the FDIC paved the way to her eventual legal representation of many banking institutions and GSEs in the state of New Jersey. During the financial crisis, Ms. Frankenberg, along with in house litigators, developed a state wide strategy creating case law allowing default processing in the state of New Jersey to continue while all other firms were in a stand still due to converging case law, rules, and regulations. It is that kind of “outside the box” thinking that helped her not only create the first wholly women owned default firm in the state of New Jersey, but also makes her relevant today in the ever changing default landscape.
In her role as Managing Member, Ms. Frankenberg is responsible for the oversight of the default, litigation and bankruptcy departments, as well as the transactional and loan origination practice. Under her direction, the firm is dedicated to an ever evolving practice at the forefront of compliance and efficiency, with a strong focus on cost effectiveness and innovation. Ms. Frankenberg’s extensive experience in the practice area makes her uniquely qualified to lead the firm into the next chapter of the default industry.
