Maria Cozzini, Esq.

Maria Cozzini, having over 25 years of General Civil Practice experience as a New Jersey attorney, with an emphasis in the areas of commercial litigation, creditor’s rights, foreclosure, and real estate law. She has represented Buyers and Sellers in commercial and residential real estate transactional matters, from contract negotiation to closing, and also, Lenders in the mortgage origination process. In foreclosure litigation, she has represented both lenders and borrowers, gaining extensive knowledge of the New Jersey Fair Foreclosure Act and the New Jersey’s Judiciary Foreclosure Mediation Program, as well as other foreclosure defenses, such as FDCPA, TILA & RESPA violations. Her primary area of interest involves loss mitigation options, including loan modifications, drawing upon her knowledge of underwriting requirements, short sales, and other exit strategies designed to meet the needs of both the lender and borrower.
